Chris Craven : Freelancer photographer and Graduate of Architecture at Matt Williams Architects
Studio Craven takes inspiration in finding and capturing wonderful moments in and around Tasmanian’s landscapes and wilderness as well as glimpses into the lifestyle, food, architecture and culture the island has on offer.
The beauty and meaning of the Japanese word yugen influences an expressiveness I look to achieve in capturing a moment and on the joinery to that moment.
Yugen; an awareness of the universe that triggers emotional responses too deep and powerful for words.
Acknowledgment of country
I acknowledge the traditional and original owners of this land, on which we live, learn and work for they hold the memories, traditions and culture. We pay respect to those that have passed before us and to the palawa people, who are the enduring custodians of lutruwita/Tasmania and extend that respect to all First Nations people. I acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and that this land always was and always will be first nations’ land.
